No one at Barcelona is allowed to touch Messi during training, according to Jean-Clair Todibo

Jean-Clair Todibo, a former midfielder for Barcelona, discusses certain aspects of his previous team that many people are unaware of, including the fact that Lionel Messi was still a member of the squad.

Jean-Clair Todibo: 'I want to learn from my teammates'

When Barcelona purchased Jean-Clair Todibo from Toulouse in 2019, the transfer fee was simply one million euros. Todibo, on the other hand, only participated in five matches throughout his two seasons at Camp Nou. During the summer of 2021, Barcelona made the decision to sell Todibo to Nice. Meanwhile, the midfielder, who was born in 1999, has gone back to his hometown and found himself again.

Todibo is the core of Nice’s defense, which has only allowed four goals to be scored against them in Ligue 1 so far this season. In addition to that, Nice has not committed a single offense throughout the course of the past two months. There was an increase in the value of Todibo, which is presently somewhere around 40 million euros.

When asked about his time spent at Barcelona, Todibo shared his thoughts with the media, saying, “There, they didn’t let us touch Messi during practice.” It may sound insanity, yet it is actual. Concerning him, we need to use extreme caution. It is true that Messi is the best player in the world, and it is only natural that you would not want to damage him.

To return to the present, Todibo is currently being pursued by a number of teams in England. A source from the Standard newspaper disclosed that Tottenham has also added Todibo on the list of potential candidates, following the announcement that Manchester United had made. After getting off to a fantastic start to the season, the North London team is showing signs of deteriorating performance, and one of the reasons for this is that the defense is not performing up to par. They intend to make improvements to this region in January for this reason.
