The Super Bowl cannot lack the presence of top sports figures including Messi.The star of Inter Miami and the Argentina national team appeared in a commercial for Michelob Ultra, an American beer brand that is dominating the North American market. In this 60-second commercial, Messi’s character goes into a beachside bar and orders a beer.

According to the New York Times, a 30-second commercial at Super Bowl 2023 costs $7 million. From there, it can be estimated that the 60-second beer commercial that Messi participated in could cost Michelob Ultra beer company $14 million.

Also according to the New York Times, the salary for main actor Messi must also reach millions of dollars considering the Argentine star’s name. In other words, just by appearing in 60 seconds of advertising at the Super Bowl, Messi earned an amount of money equivalent to his entire month’s income at Inter Miami (more than 1 million USD).

Super Bowl 2024 is scheduled to take place on February 11 at Allegiant Field in Paradise, Nevada.
