According to journalist Onda Cero’s source, Alberto Pereiro, Cristiano Ronaldo was invited by Real Madrid to attend the unveiling ceremony of Mbappe junior. Writer Pereiro shared with Bernabeu Digital channel: “Real Madrid invited Cristiano Ronaldo to Mbappe’s debut but he didn’t want to come”.

The Portuguese striker refused Real’s invitation because another commercial commitment prevented him from attending the ceremony at the Bernabeu. Some fans believe that Ronaldo’s partnership with Nike is the main reason for his absence. Nike sponsors both Kylian Mbappe and Cristiano Ronaldo, but Real Madrid is sponsored mainly by Nike’s rival, the Adidas brand.
