Volunteer Pilot Takes to the Skies To Save the Cutest Kitten Passengers

What’s your Reaction?

We see folks talking about the so-called “cat distribution system” all the time. But every day, pets need help with distribution. To find homes, they need someone to physically take them across the country and often the world! Those willing to transport pets in their spare time make a big impact. One volunteer doing just that is a commercial pilot, Nick Reyzin, from Seminole, Florida.

Pilots N Paws Fly Pets To a New Life

Non-profit groups like Pilots N Paws help organize volunteers who can fly rescued animals to a better life. Sometimes, they fly them to no-kill shelters. Other times, they fly to their forever families who may live hundreds of miles away.

In areas where shelters are overcrowded, these pilots routinely save animals on “death row.” In such cases, that flight to freedom literally means giving animals a new lease on life! And they fly all kinds of animals: cats, dogs, rabbits, reptiles, chickens, a fawn – you name it!

One such pilot is Nick Reyzin, who goes by Nick Raisin on TikTok. Recently, he shared one of his “most memorable flights ever,” flying with kittens and a puppy!

You can see these beautiful, healthy kitties that deserve to live. By volunteering, Nick helped save their lives, along with a team of rescuers and foster providers.

“Hard to believe these lil guys were one day away from being euthanized. Blessed to be able to give them a chance for a new life. Fly Pilots n’ Paws!” he wrote.

After sharing on social media, the video went mega-viral, reaching over a million views. In the comments, he shared that most of his flights come out of Bainbridge, Georgia headed for places like New England. But in this flight, he flew from North Alabama to Central Florida.

“Another day as a pilot for the cat distribution system,” he said.

Volunteers for Pilots N Paws

Pilots N Paws also shared the video on their Facebook page. Although people often see puppies in planes, they fly all kinds of pets to a better future.

“We’re often asked if we provide Freedom Flights for cats and kittens. Yes we do. Volunteer PNP pilot Nick Reyzin recently did a flight for kittens from North Alabama to Central Florida. His video actually went viral on TikTok. Let’s see if we can do the same for him on Facebook. Honestly, is there anything cuter than a crate full of kittens?” shared Pilots N Paws.

This time, it was a two-hour flight, and the multi-colored fluffy kittens were the cutest passengers. Mostly, they slept in their secure crate, but he once more gave them a VIP view of the clouds in the cockpit.

Can you imagine what the kitties must be thinking at seeing the sky opening up all around them?

“I can fly?” the kitty might be thinking.

After they landed on the next leg of their journey, the cuties sat on the plane wing for a moment.

Immediately, another volunteer came to carry them safely to their destinations. It takes a village, and it sure helps to have volunteer pilot willing to take the skies. Could this be your future mission or purrhaps someone you know?

“Without a doubt, one of my most memorable flights!”
