Before Crash came to Underdog Rescue, he lived through horrors no dog—or living creature—should ever experience. The cruelty Crash has been forced to endure is almost incomprehensible, but what is even more incredible is Crash’s ability to remain loving despite his cruel past.

Looking for a family that will let him enjoy what remains of his puppyhood and give him a comfortable, loving home to grow old in, Crash might have a complicated past but his vision for the future is simple and full of peace.

The humans who had Crash when he was a little puppy were evil. Crash experienced severe abuse which culminated in this sweet dog being set on fire. Something so horrific leaves emotional and physical scars, and though Crash survived this nightmare, he will carry the marks of his abuse for the rest of his life. Now finally safe and with humans who love and understand him, Crash is getting braver every day.

“[Crash] used to be scared of loud noises, but now, instead of running, [he stands] tall and feces them head on,” says Underdog Rescue on Crash’s adoption biography. “[Crash is] still learning that not every loud sound means trouble, but [he’s] getting braver every day.”

Even after humans betrayed his trust and hurt him badly, Crash still loves everyone he meets. Crash is good with children, and staff at Underdog Rescue have even noted that he seems to be extra gentle with kiddos. Crash loves other dogs of all sizes, and while he might come on a little strong at first, all he wants to do is play. Believe it or not, Crash doesn’t even mind cats—he’s happy to let them co-exist in his space.

At around 45 pounds and just one year old Crash is basically still a puppy with plenty of energy, playfulness, and love to spare. If you like shortie Pit Bulls or low-riders, this little boy is perfect for you.

If you live in or near Minnesota and are interested in adopting Crash, start by filling out an adoption application online or contacting Underdog Rescue for more information.
