Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, famous as much for his footballing skills as his stunning looks, has finally addressed rumors about alleged plastic surgery. In a recent interview, Ronaldo stated: “I have never resorted to plastic surgery to improve my appearance. All I do is take care of myself with dedication and discipline.”
Cristiano Ronaldo, who currently plays for Al Nassr FC in the Saudi Pro League, has been the subject of speculation for years about possible cosmetic procedures. Plastic surgery experts have suggested that the player could have used Botox and facial fillers to maintain his youthful appearance.
In 2016, plastic surgeon Alex Karidis, in an interview with The Sun, analyzed the evolution of Ronaldo’s appearance since his arrival at Manchester United in 2003, at the age of 18. “It appears he may have had Botox around his eyes and forehead. His skin is practically perfect,” Karidis commented. He also mentioned the possibility that Ronaldo used facial fillers to smooth out expression lines.
Despite speculation, Ronaldo insists that his appearance is the result of natural care. “I value my body and my health. I like looking in the mirror, but it’s all a result of a healthy lifestyle,” he said.
Wayne Rooney, Ronaldo’s former Manchester United teammate, revealed in his 2012 autobiography that Ronaldo always had a fondness for admiring himself in the mirror. “There was a mirror next to Ronaldo’s seat in the Old Trafford dressing room. During my time playing with him, I noticed that he couldn’t walk past a mirror without looking at himself, even when we were about to step onto the field,” wrote Rooney.
While Rooney has been open about his own hair transplant in 2011, Ronaldo has never confirmed having had similar procedures. In 2013, Ronaldo was seen with signs of hair loss on his forehead during an event in Monaco, but these signs disappeared in his subsequent public appearances.
So, while the rumors persist, Cristiano Ronaldo remains firm in his position that his appearance is the result of natural care and not surgical interventions.
