Even in Miami, Lionel Messi is making a stand for his territory! The football player, who already owns three mansions in the Miami suburb of Sunny Isles Beach valued at several million dollars apiece, has now invested in a modern waterfront villa in Fort Lauderdale’s exclusive Bay Colony community.

Expenditure number one occurred at the same time that Messi signed a new two-and-a-half-year, $150 million deal with Inter Miami CF, David Beckham’s Major League Soccer club. The 36-year-old attacker is fresh off a sensational 17-year tenure with FC Barcelona and a two-year spell with Paris Saint-Germaine FC. Last December, he also led his native Argentina to an electrifying 4-2 triumph over France in the 2022 World Cup. The striker has won the Ballon d’Or—an annual trophy presented to the greatest player in the world—seven times.

The soccer player and his wife Antonella Roccuzzo paid $10.75 million for a lavish two-storey home off-market. The home is located just minutes away from Inter Miami’s Drive Pink Stadium and their nearby Fort Lauderdale training facility. The Real Deal broke the story first.Messi was represented by Samuel and Donna Simpkin of Team Simpkin at Compass, while the sellers were represented by Jennifer Abbott of ONE Sotheby’s International Realty.
Most recently, in May 2022, the property was sold to John and Stacy Dickerson for $9 million. It was built in 1988. Eight bedrooms and ten bathrooms make up its over 10,500 square feet of living space. The glass walls of the two-story building open out to a glittering pool that features a Jacuzzi, waterfall, and Baja terrace. A “carefully curated modern waterfront estate” was the previous description. There are two docks located along the 170 feet of oceanfront land that borders the Intracoastal Waterway.
Warm accents of jewel tones and metal punctuate the home’s Lori Morris-designed interiors, which mostly feature a black and white color scheme.LORI Morris designed the set, while Brandon Barre shot the photos.

This stucco and wood-trimmed structure has a spacious motorcourt and an attached three-car garage on either side. It is nestled in a cul-de-sac on a nearly half-acre lot bordered with palm trees. Step inside the modern, Lori Morris-designed interiors through the double entrance doors. The rooms include porcelain tile flooring, a classic black and white color scheme, and pops of jewel tones and metal that add warmth.
Notable features include an opulent foyer adorned with a light bulb made of gold and Murano glass, which leads to a basement apartment adorned with black velvet channel walls. Adjacent to it sits an Italian kitchen with a breakfast nook flanked by windows, a six-seat eat-in island, and top-of-the-line appliances.

In addition, the suite features a 1,600 square foot master bedroom with “gold dripping wallpaper,” a sitting area, a private terrace, and a spa-like bathroom with double vanities, a cosmetics station, and a walk-in steam shower. The home also has an executive office, a fitness center, and a relaxing family room furnished with a charcoal velvet sofa and daybed that were custom-built.
Among Messi’s other Sunny Isles Beach real estate holdings, records show that he has a $7.4 million full-floor penthouse in the Regalia building and two units worth a combined $10.3 million in the 60-story Porsche Design Tower. Rumor has it that he has purchased an apartment in the upcoming 2026 Bentley Residences building.
