Of course, this isn’t always possible for every dog. Take Reese’s Puffs, for example. This adorable red Aussie Shepherd spent his entire life living in apartments, only venturing outside for walks.

But things were about to change. Reese’s pawrents decided it was time for a move—this time to a home with a yard!

Can you imagine how excited Reese must have been?

Is That… A Backyard?

Reese’s family, who live in Austin, Texas, had always dreamed of buying a house with a yard where Reese could run and play. After years in an apartment, that dream finally came true.

Without tipping Reese off, his mom and dad packed up and moved into the new house. When they finally brought Reese over, they caught his excited reaction on video, which was shared by The Dodo.

At first, Reese wandered through the new house, recognizing the familiar scent of his family’s belongings. But then…he spotted something amazing. Through the glass door, he saw it—a backyard!

“That’s your yard… Yeah… It’s yours,” his dad said in the video.

If Reese could speak, he’d probably say, “Really? Really? Oh boy! Oh boy!”

Reese’s Backyard Adventure

Reese was beyond excited. He didn’t just explore the yard—he played in it for hours.

But that wasn’t the end of the surprises. Reese’s mom decided to make the day even more special by throwing a ball party! She brought out a box full of tennis balls and tossed them all over the yard, much to Reese’s delight.

The only downside? Reese loved his new yard so much that he didn’t want to leave! Getting him to go for walks became a challenge, but once his dog friends joined in, he was happy to tag along.

Now, Reese spends his days soaking up the sun, zooming around his yard, and living his best life. From apartment dog to backyard king, life has never been sweeter for Reese.
