When Blossom the dog was found on the porch of an abandoned house, in Oklahoma, she wasn’t quite living her life.

Despite your efforts. Locals tried to catch her and she remained out of reach.

That all changed when resident Erica alerted the WOOF Pet Rescue Society, which quickly arrived on the scene.

“It wasn’t a task to catch her. She resisted being grabbed by the pole. She put up a fight until we could get her into the box… Once she was safe in there she calmed down. By the time we got to WOOF, she seemed happy to be near us. Although she didn’t She is still cautious, but seemed to be relaxing and enjoying some interaction,” the rescue team shared on Facebook.

Safely in the care of WOOF Pet Rescue Blossom, he was immediately transported to a vet.

Diagnosis? A severe case of scabies. There are no life-threatening conditions.

With some gentle care (TLC), Blossom was on her way to recovery.

After evaluating her, the staff at WOOF Pet Rescue decided it was time for Blossom to have an experience that might be new to her – bathing.

At first Blossom was unsure and nervous as soap bubbles formed in her fur.

As the warm water flowed over her, she began to relax, realizing that humans could provide comfort and care.

Her transformation didn’t end there.

After her bath, Blossom stayed in the tub a little longer to enjoy the feeling of care.

She felt as if she was cherishing the moment when she was blessed with love and attention that she may have never experienced before.

Blossom’s journey to recovery continued at the rescue center.

The staff carefully bathed her daily to treat scabies.

Gradually but surely her brown fur began to grow out to reveal her personality underneath.

She has become quite socialized and enjoys spending time with both the staff and her fellow dogs at the shelter.

As fate would have it, one of the families involved in saving Blossom was unable to forget her.

They visited the shelter regularly. I formed a connection with her.

When it was time for Blossom to leave the shelter, this family eagerly offered her a home she truly deserved. Blossom’s life changed when she settled in her home. Her transformation from being a wary dog around humans to becoming a family pet has been truly amazing.

These days she finds joy in life’s pleasures like napping on the couch.

That’s not all. Blossom has also discovered the joy of play, especially when it involves playing with her siblings.

Yes, she still enjoys her baths, which is very different from an anxious puppy who flinched at the sight of soap and water.

Blossom’s story is a warm testament to the power of love. Eager to bring about positive change.
