They adopted a cat who had waited over a year and then decided to get him a kitten. It was the best decision ever.

Wally, the cat, came to Community Cat Club last year, hoping for a chance at a better life. Despite everything he’d gone through, he continued to be incredibly friendly, seeking attention from everyone he met.

“He is so affectionate, loves kisses. He’s playful as a kitten and sweet as pie,” Community Cat Club shared. “He is a snuggle bug once he tires himself out playing. He just wants to sit by you and relax.”

“They say, ‘Dogs are human’s best friends,’ but Wally is here to prove them wrong.”

Wally approached people with a charming look on his face and was always ready for a good time. He played hard but snuggled even harder.

He cherished every toy and made sure no one was ever left out under his watch. Even at the adoption center, he joyfully greeted visitors through the kennel, hoping someone would scoop him up and take him home.

Days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months. Wally ended up spending over a year at the rescue. He changed foster homes a couple of times but never let it hold him back. His eyes instantly lit up at the sight of people, and he just wanted to be loved.

A lovely family stumbled upon Wally and fell head over heels for the sweet boy. After learning about his story, they knew they’d found the perfect fit.

Shortly after moving into his new home, Wally knew he was where he belonged. It didn’t take long for him to claim his favorite spot on the bed and settle in for a nap.

Wally was overjoyed to have a comfortable abode and loving humans, following them everywhere. With his playful, kitten-like energy and a love for affection, the family decided to get him a feline companion.

They reached out to the rescue and came across a kitten named Eddie.

Eddie was full of curiosity, always on the lookout for new adventures. Like Wally, he was spirited and affectionate, getting along with everyone – cats and dogs alike. His gentle nature and boundless energy caught the eye of the family.

When they met Eddie, his easy-going personality and zest for life instantly won them over. Soon, Eddie was on his way to his new home, where a gentle, loving cat awaited him.

Wally immediately took the newcomer, now Winston, under his wing, showed him the ropes, and smothered him with snuggles.

Winston became Wally’s little shadow, eagerly joining in on every adventure. They formed a close bond, with the kitten glued to his side, stirring up mischief like partners in crime.

“They play and cuddle together all the time. They love sitting in the windows and chasing each other around,” their adopter shared.

Winston likes to curl up beside Wally, basking in the sunlight and watching the day go by. They have plenty of beds in the house, but the two share everything, always side by side, like two peas in a pod.

“Having them around is genuinely the best part of my day.”

Wally has a heart of gold, and after waiting for over a year, he’s finally found his dream home with a buddy he can’t imagine life without.

“We love adoption updates, and this one especially warms our hearts,” Community Cat Club shared.
